Gov. Gianforte Appoints Emily Jones to Thirteenth Judicial District Advisory Council

Governor Greg Gianforte has selected Emily Jones to serve on the advisory council that will assist in reviewing candidates to fill the district court judge vacancy in the Thirteenth Judicial District created by the retirement of Judge Michael Moses.

This marks Jones’s second such appointment by the Governor to serve on a judiciary advisory council. Emily served on the previous the Thirteenth Judicial District Advisory Council in 2021.

“I look forward to hearing the recommendations of these qualified professionals, community members, and leaders as they help me identify the best candidates to serve as their new district judge,” Governor Gianforte said. “We continue to seek candidates committed to the fair, consistent, and objective application of the law and who will interpret laws, not make them from the bench.”
